What is Basics Yoga?
Introduction to classic yoga poses and simple breathing techniques in a slow, steady format. Plenty of time to ask questions as we go and be given clear guidance. Slow vinyasa flow with accessible movements to increase fitness, simple balances to aid concentration and deep stretches to soothe stiff, aching muscles – easing tension and increasing flexibility. Suitable for everyone. Yoga experience not required. Pose options for injuries and restricted movement. A non-competitive, inclusive class for all.
Is it the same every week?
This Basics Yoga class will be varied each week to increase your yoga knowledge and work all parts of the body. The aim is to increase confidence and encourage wider range of movement. See descriptions of our class styles. This class suits all levels and ages.
What age is it for, what to wear and bring?
For all ages, young to old, seniors very welcome. Wear loose, comfortable clothing or yoga / gym kit. Everything is supplied – mats, blocks and straps. Feel free to bring your own mat. Bolsters available for knee padding along with soothing lavender eye cushions for the resting poses at the end.
Just turn up – £5 per person, pay at the venue. Bart’s Hall is warm with WCs and on street parking outside.
